Friday 8thMarch 2019 saw the official opening of Highmount Preschool’s new playground. Special guest, local MP Matt Fregon oversaw proceedings and presented a plaque to the kindergarten to mark the occasion.
Highmount Preschool is a community managed kindergarten located in the heart of Mount Waverley. The preschool is governed by a committee of volunteer parents.
Committee President Lou Skepper oversaw the redevelopment from the planning stages in 2014, and sought grant opportunities to bring the project to life. Along with tireless fundraising initiatives from committees over the ensuing years, the preschool community were ecstatic to receive a grant from the Victorian Schools and Building Authority to complete the redevelopment.
The project is an example of true spirit, determination and passion from Lou and the committee, and we are grateful for their dedication to our community and children.
